Are you interested in building the foundations of open computing systems? Join Antmicro’s Cloud & Infrastructure Team.
Within our team, we create and execute essential backend elements crucial for establishing the foundation of our infrastructure’s reliability and scalability. We develop and oversee services, troubleshoot across various levels of the stack, and our code propels the daily operations of the company.
As an intern you will support the team in building the underlying open source technology stack & infrastructure behind our organization’s backend systems. You will actively contribute towards building highly available, scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant services. You will be encouraged to learn about architecting, prototyping, scoping and developing backend software components for a plethora of projects. We will provide you with all the necessary tools, from high-end gear and hardware to mentoring and team experience on every step of the way. And finally, your internship project will be published as open-source and made available to the community.
REQUIREMENTS:
students of computer science, electronics or related fields
availability for an intensive, 2-month summer program (ca. 300 hours in total) or for a more flexible program throughout the academic year (min. 20 hours/week, ca. 200 hours in total)
passion for open source projects
experience with programming (Ruby/C#/Java/C,C++/Go or similar)
experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby etc.)
experience with Rust is nice to have
experience with Git
readiness for everyday work in Linux
ability to quickly adopt new technologies
methodical and detail-oriented approach
teamwork and willingness to learn from others
good command of English
