Material Engineering Intern

YOUR ROLE:

In your daily job you will:

• contribute to innovation projects in metals and plating technologies in Aptiv Connection Systems

• assist the Product Engineering teams to define the most suitable material given the application details

• work closely with suppliers to validate new materials and control material specifications

• support material cost savings initiatives

• analyze alloy consumption and propose initiatives to improve operating efficiency

YOUR BACKGROUND:

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

• pursuing a Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy

• understanding of metal properties and related material characteristics

• strong communication skills in English (verbal and written), with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly

• results-driven and adaptable, with the ability to prioritize, make timely decisions, and solve problems independently

• ability to work effectively across all organizational levels and within a distributed team

• availability minimum 20 hours per week
