AS A JUNIOR SCALE DEVELOPER, YOU’LL:
Write Scala Code
Write HTTP API data deliver services in ZIO
Write Tests
Debug!
Learn from more experienced people how to do stuff
Help build and design solutions that process petabytes of data
Monitor, react, and debug big data pipelines
Use technologies like Spark, EMR, ElasticAPM, Prometheus, Kubernetes, Athena, Iceberg, Airflow, Linux
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
1+ years of Scala experience
Hands-on, proactive approach
Good git understanding
Experience working with RESTful APIs and service based architecture
Linux is your daily driver
Strong knowledge of Linux processes, thread management, shell scripting, service management, and networking
Knowledge of Iceberg is a plus.
Ability to work in the EST timezone (partially)
Ability to cover some EST on-call (usually one incident a month per team)
Proficiency in English
