Role Overview:
We are seeking a Logistics Planner to join our team and manage HPP’s logistics operations across EMEA. This role will focus on coordinating shipments, overseeing the import of chemical products in ISO containers, and ensuring all logistics processes run smoothly and safely. As we expand and optimize our logistics operations, we need an expert in bulk logistics processes who can drive efficiencies and collaborate closely with stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities:
As a Logistics Planner EMEA, you will be responsible for:
- Managing logistics operations across EMEA, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of chemical products.
- Coordinating and overseeing ISO container imports while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
- Working closely with bulk logistics service providers (LSPs) to support day-to-day transport execution.
- Acting as a liaison between deep-sea customers and the LBC logistics team, ensuring clear communication and expectation management.
- Identifying inefficiencies and proposing process improvements to optimize supply chain performance.
- Monitoring customer order behavior, identifying patterns, and managing exceptions effectively.
- Serving as an expert in stock point processes and ensuring efficient inventory management.
- Overseeing transport execution costs, acting as a gatekeeper for additional expenditures.
- Verifying and controlling logistics costs in accordance with SOX compliance guidelines.
- Conducting stock reconciliations when required.
- Leading automation and digitalization initiatives within logistics operations.
- Supporting and driving logistics projects, including business process simplification, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements.
Experience and Competencies:
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in EMEA logistics within a multinational corporation.
- Proven ability to analyze logistics data, drive results, and implement strategic improvements.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead root cause analysis.
- Hands-on experience with European road/rail networks and dangerous goods management policies.
- Proficiency in SAP and Excel for logistics operations.
- Experience in deep-sea freight transportation (European & Global) is a plus.
- Preferred background in chemical logistics or prior experience in the oil industry.
