This will be your network and it is constantly growing. Your primary function will be to ensure that the network is reliable, robust and can scale to meet the challenges that serving over a billion users presents. Automation and continuous improvement are the keys to meeting our demands; you will be responsible for developing and deploying network designs, automation systems and network performance improvements into our production network. Enterprise Network Engineer, University Grad Responsibilities
Troubleshoot network issues and outages, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence
Collaborate with other engineering groups to ensure our network infrastructure continues to support applications and services effectively
Monitor network performance and integrity, and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal performance and reliability
Participate in on-call rotation for network support
Build tools in support of network data analysis and production execution
Develop optimized network monitoring systems
Develop automated methods to mitigate and remediate network events
Analyze data to diagnose and identify root causes to network issues
Be an active participant in technical discussions
Develop and maintain consistency within the network infrastructure
Minimum Qualifications
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta
Experience with computer networks
Experience with UNIX, TCP/IP, network fundamentals, or similar
Experience coding in at least one language (Python/Golang/Rust/C++ are all in use)
Experience learning new concepts around network design and management
Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Switching and Routing concepts and implementation
Knowledge of routing protocols BGP, OSPF and ISIS
Knowledge of tunneling protocols SRv6, MPLS
