Schuman Traineeship at the European Parliament
A Schuman traineeship offers a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience of the European Union’s institutions at the European Parliament, the only directly elected EU body.
Twice a year, the European Parliament selects around 500 trainees across a wide range of fields, including communication, law, multilingualism, international relations, administration, IT, and more.
The European Parliament is committed to equal opportunities, encouraging applications from all candidates regardless of gender, sexual orientation, cultural, ethnic, or religious background, or disability.
Applications open: 1–31 October 2025
Locations: Brussels, Luxembourg, Strasbourg, or in the European Parliament Liaison Offices (EPLO) in EU Member States.

Positive Action Programme for Trainees with Disabilities
Inclusion is a priority for the European Parliament. In addition to the general procedure, people with disabilities have greater opportunities to take part in traineeships through a dedicated positive action programme.
Applicants with a long-term physical, mental, intellectual, or sensory impairment of at least 20% may apply. Once the condition is confirmed by the European Parliament’s Medical Service, shortlisted candidates who meet the general eligibility criteria may receive a traineeship offer. To offset additional costs, eligible candidates may benefit from an additional payment of up to 50% of the monthly Schuman traineeship allowance.
This is your chance to live a unique experience in the heart of Europe and give a boost to your international career!
