Position description
Are you interested in applying your technical knowledge and skills to the digital transformation of a leading company of sustainable materials? Join us on our digital transformation journey at Sappi Cracow Center of Process Excellence.
In this exciting role, you have a chance to support the Digital Transformation team in their daily tasks. Your tasks will be particularly contributing to:
- Assist in designing and developing web applications for internal use.
- Fix bugs, extend features, work on front-end and back-end
- Collaborate with team members on software development best practices, version control using Git, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Build, deploy and manage applications in the cloud.
- Functional and user evaluation.
- Contribute to technical documentation.
Your profile:
- You are a student or just graduated from university.
- You have very good written and spoken English.
- You have programming experience in Python and SQL.
- You are familiar with version control using Git and GitHub.
- You can demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- You like working in a team and have excellent peer relationships.
- You are well-organized and pay attention to the details.
- You are eager to learn and are result-oriented.
- You are available to work for around 40 hours weekly.
- Familiarity with web frameworks such as Flask is an extra but will be highly appreciated.

- In the Krakow office, we work in a hybrid working model, we expect you to be present in the office at least twice a week.

About the coach
Javed is curious about how people interact with technical systems, and based on that curiosity, he designs, realizes, and evaluates novel interactive systems. This curiosity currently finds application at Sappi, a global manufacturing company, where he works as Head of User Experience (UX), based in Brussels Belgium. He has previously held the position of assistant professor at Eindhoven University of Technology, in the Netherlands. He regularly co-authors peer-reviewed publications on UX and Human-Computer Interaction related topics.
