YOUR ROLE:

As Intern in the Rapid Model Development (RMD) team you will assist in a development of next generation of liquidity and funding models at UBS. You will work with cutting edge technologies covering cloud computing, artificial intelligence and most sophisticated liquidity and funding models within UBS.

YOUR TEAM:

You will be working in our Rapid Model Development (RMD) team based in Krakow and Wroclaw. The RMD team focuses on models’ development, big data analysis, back-testing, calibration, and advance visualization. We use the latest technology including artificial intelligence to deliver end users tools for liquidity and funding management.

We are passionate about technology and continuously looking to drive change. The RMD team is part of the GT Liquidity and Funding Modelling. Our models are used to determine the funding and liquidity needs for UBS Group, its regions, and key entities globally, and even drive the funding costs to the respective businesses.

YOUR EXPERTISE:

You have:

• strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical or quantitative topics clearly and simply;

• analytical and problem-solving skills together with good time management and organization of your own work;

• a university degree in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, or quantitative discipline is a plus.

You are:

• curious, proactive and self-driven with strong interest in programming and data science (Python or PySpark);

• interested in model development, optimization, data visualization, and calibration of Treasury models;

• team-orientated and welcome working with a diverse set of stakeholders;

• able to work under pressure and find optimal solutions when confronted with incomplete data;

• fluent in English, oral and written.
