Start your career with the Strategic Student Program (SSP)

The SSP is our formal internship program at Siemens Software globally. You will be mentored by experts and work directly with teams to create real business impact while gaining valuable professional experience. At Siemens, SSP interns gain access to an international student network and community, career development opportunities with professional growth pathways, comprehensive practical training throughout the program, access to the Siemens Learning Hub and other training materials, and the opportunity to work on exciting projects within a global and diverse team.

What you’ll be doing as an intern in one of the Tessent Research and Development teams

Tessent is Electronic Design Automation software developed by Siemens. The Tessent tool is used by the largest companies in the integrated circuit industry to insert Design for Test logic and prepare microchips for manufacturing tests. Design for Test is a branch of engineering largely based on research and development. The solutions designed by our engineering teams are based on IEEE standards and often go beyond them.

You will participate in the daily work of a software engineering team and support their efforts in developing leading-edge solutions for our customers. In our office in Poznan, we develop Design-for-Test tools that are essential for testing and validating integrated circuits such as microprocessors, System-on-Chips, GPUs, and memory devices.

YOUR LEARNING IN PRACTICE:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated intern to join our Software Quality Assurance Engineering team. As a QA intern, you will be integrated into an international team responsible for developing Design-for-Test Tessent products. This internship presents an opportunity to contribute to the testing and validation of software used for testing integrated circuits that are crucial to the semiconductor industry.

During the internship you will:

  • Assist in ensuring the quality and reliability of Tessent software products

  • Support the QA team in the development and execution of test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts

  • Collaborate with software application developers and product managers to facilitate timely product releases aligned with customer needs

  • Participate in the review of product design documentation to ensure requirements are correct, unambiguous, and verifiable

  • Help evaluate and report on product quality in a continuous integration environment

  • Gain hands-on experience with industry-standard QA tools and processes

ALL ABOUT YOU:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field

  • A strong desire to learn and contribute in a dynamic team environment

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact positively with team members and developers

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to achieving high-quality outcomes

Basic understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes is a plus. Previous experience or coursework related to integrated circuits, microprocessors, or software development is beneficial, but not required.
