Purchasing and Controlling Internship

We are looking for an intern to join our Smart Solution Development Team in the R&D department at Corporate Technology Center (CTC) in Poland, Kraków. Here we create innovative solutions for our products and systems such as sensors and network devices. It is a unique opportunity for you to work on international projects in interdisciplinary scientific teams.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:

• Sourcing - negotiate pricing, quantity, delivery schedules, verifying the availability of required materials, and services.

• Support the R&D team by verifying components and ensuring new designs have multiple manufacturers approved, checking lifecycle and component lead.

• Preparing purchase orders

• Controlling deliveries and order costs

• Registering of fixed assets, providing support in inventory control

• Preparing reports, analyzes, cost statements in Excel

• Creating shopping baskets in ABB purchasing application

• Archiving financial documents and making invoice settlements

YOUR BACKGROUND:

• Student of a 2nd or 3rd year of Economic Studies or related

• Good command of English – both oral and written

• Working knowledge of MS Office package (especially Excel)

• Experience in an Electronics purchasing role would be an advantage
