This role is part of OnePlan, a strategic initiative at Carlsberg aimed at transforming Demand Planning through advanced data exploration and analytics. The project focuses on leveraging data to enhance forecast accuracy, uncover key demand drivers, and develop actionable insights that support business decisions.
We are looking for a Data Exploration Intern to assist in analyzing complex datasets, identifying trends, and building analytical solutions. Under guidance, this intern will enhance forecast accuracy, understand demand fluctuations, and develop data-driven insights using Python, JavaScript, Power BI, and statistical modeling techniques.
What you’ll be doing
· Analysing large data sets to identify patterns, trends, and outliers affecting demand planning and forecasting
· Assessing and improving forecast accuracy (MAPE, Bias, FVA) by identifying key influencing factors
· Developing interactive Power BI dashboards and custom visualizations to provide real-time demand insights
· Using Python for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and automation of repetitive tasks
· Working with SQL to query databases and retrieve relevant data for analysis
· Collaborating with demand planners, business analysts, and IT teams to integrate insights into the planning process
· Exploring new data sources (e.g., weather, macroeconomic indicators, promotions) to enhance demand planning
We are looking for colleagues who:

· Have first experience working with large datasets and extracting actionable insights, trends, outliers, and data quality/validation
· Have basic knowledge of Python (data wrangling, statistical analysis, automation) and JavaScript (or another scripting language like R or TypeScript) for interactive dashboards
· Have basic knowledge of SQL for querying databases and retrieving relevant data
· Have Visualization & Reporting skills: Ability to present complex data in a simple and actionable way
· Have a strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into insights.
· Have effective communication skills to present findings to non-technical stakeholders
