Junior Reporting Specialist’s key responsibilities will be to:
Financial reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
General ledger management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records
Account reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies
Month-end close: Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals and adjustments
Compliance: Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and other regulatory standards
Process improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the R2R function
Collaboration: Work closely with other finance teams such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, GPO (Global Process Owner), Corporate to ensure accurate financial reporting
Audit support: Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations
Ad-hoc reporting: Generate and analyze ad-hoc financial reports as required by management
Documentation: Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation of R2R processes and procedures
Basic Qualifications:
Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting or a related field
Experience: Some relevant experience in accounting or financial reporting
Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Accounting knowledge: Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
Analytical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial data
Communication skills: Good verbal and written communication skills
Team player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Organizational skills: Strong organizational and time management skills
Fluency in English language
Preferred Qualifications:
ERP systems: Experience with ERP systems specifically in SAP
Advanced excel skills: Proficiency with advanced Excel functions and data analysis tools
Knowledge of IFRS: Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
