ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Development of language resources (text processing rules, pronunciation dictionaries, speech databases) for text-to-speech models for German language
Evaluation of text-to-speech system for German
Collaboration with an internal team of language experts
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in German Philology, Linguistics or a related field
Expertise in Standard German phonology and grammar
Good command of English, including English pronunciation
Basic text processing skills (regex, handling CSV/TSV files)
Nice to have:
Native speaker of German (from Germany)
Hands-on experience with current TTS systems
Experience in audio processing
Basic scripting and programming skills (bash, python)
Basic understanding of machine learning
B2 level in another European language
