Internship - Software Security Intern

Role and Responsibilities

• Performing security research focused on finding vulnerabilities in Samsung Knox components.

• Researching and analyzing existing security issues, attack strategies and techniques targeting Samsung Knox.

• Analyzing Android/Windows applications used in attacks on Samsung Knox.

• Participating in all phases of product security analysis – from research and planning to execution.

• Automated security testing, manual analyzing, and triaging service using both source code analysis and dynamic analysis tools.

Skills and Qualifications

• Comprehensive programming knowledge and experience in C or C++ and Java languages (good to have Python).

• Willingness to learn and explore all aspects of application security.

• “Power user” level of knowledge of Android system (e.g. usage of ADB, recovery mode etc.).

• Ability to 'think outside of the box' and a passion for solving unique challenges in technical environments.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Android system architecture and security model.

• Some experience in security analysis across all Android system layers.

• Knowledge of Kernel interworking with drivers, services and higher-level platform modules.

• Basic knowledge about reverse-engineering and binary analysis, GDB, IDA Pro/Ghidra.

• Basic knowledge of machine learning and AI.

• Ability to leverage scripting languages like Bash or Python for implementation of automatable tasks.
